Phone System Relocation Services
Moving or relocating your Nortel phone system involves becoming informed in regard to a few specific considerations to ensure a smooth transition with little to no downtime.
We will initially visit your existing location to document current phone system configurations and to identify any issues that might arise during the moving of your telephone system. We will then follow this up with additional discoveries as well as a site survey of the new location as follows:
Movers
- Who will be moving the actual telephone stations? If it is us, we will coordinate all of the details. If it is a moving
transport provider (typically done for 100+ telephones), they will need to be coordinated to prevent or minimize downtime.
New Location
- Location of the reinstall - such as in a separate telephone equipment room, another part of the building, or in the suite itself.
- If it will be located in different part of the building, we will need to determine whether cable exists between the location of the main telephone
equipment to the office area where the phones will actually be installed.
Power Requirements
- We will then verify whether or not sufficient electrical sources are available to power up the phone system as
well as and any other peripheral equipment.
Cooling & Ventilation
- Verify that adequate ventilation and cooling is available to prevent system failure.
Building Access
- Arrange for building and telephone room access with the customer, building management and security.
Cabling & Outlet Requirements
- Determine cabling requirements to include new cable and/or new outlets to the end-user locations within your new office space. We can also run Cat5 and Cat6 data network cable if required.
- If there are existing phone outlets on the wall, we will need to determine if these have been correctly configured for your specific phone system.
Additional Equipment & Upgrades
- Determine if additional equipment is required (i.e., station cards, line cards, upgrades, etc.) to
meet user requirements.
Reprogramming
- After the initial equipment installation, we will then re-program your phone system as required to meet the conditions of the new system configuration.
